Strand by Strand or Microbond is the traditonal form of hair extension.
Using a bonding agent to attach small strands of hair to your own real hair.
Although predominently a european hair extension technique we at haute monde are able to apply this technique to afro hair types as well.
We at haute monde are able to offer two different types of bonding agent for the use in strand by strand.
A keratin based bond and a silicon based bond.
The difference in the two bonds is the length of time they last. The keratin bond is longer lasting, and is made from keratin a natural occuring substance found in human hair.
While the silicon bond is the easier of the two to remove.
The Process
How we apply our strand by strand is to take a small portion of hair and using a bond applicator we attach the hair to your own.
We take special care to make sure that the bonded section is as small as possible to help disguise the extension.
This technique is suitable for those who only wish a few extensions although a whole head covering is possible.
